A Hallmark of Mark Wizel’s career to date in Australian Commercial Property has been his undoubted dominance in connecting Asian Capital with Australian Commercial Property during his previous decorated 13 year career at Global Real Estate Agent giant, CBRE.

An intimate understanding of the way in which Asian Capital is not something that one can just decide they want to pick up on and implement overnight, a dedicated and considered approach must be implemented due to the incredibly slight subtleties that differentiate cultures and operating styles of those throughout varied countries around Asia. Wizel’s ability to understand Asian culture and lead the way in educating and providing them with strong comfort around the Melbourne property market in particular saw him amass total sales to Asian buyer during his career of around $12BN which represented around 65% of the total sales that he completed during his time in Commercial Real Estate Agency.

Wizel’s best known for his uncanny ability to work with Mainland Chinese businesspeople, a skill which he believes stems from his time spent at his families stall at the Queen Victoria Market where they sold Australian souvenirs and sheepskin products. Whilst it has been clear to see the drop in transaction volumes for all sectors that previously attracted inbound Mainland Chinese capital Wizel firmly believes that it will only be a matter of time before we start to see a return of interest from abroad and remains an avid traveller to China to visit the vast array of contacts that he has skilfully crafted over the past decade.

Connecting Asian Capital withAustralian Commercial Property

With a significant component of the Australian Commercial Property Market now being made up in some way, shape or form of links to either Mainland Chinese or South East Asian Capital, a skill set akin to the one that Wizel possesses puts him and his partners at a distinct advantage within the local industry.
